Funders & Supporters

Mastroe Funders, Donors & Supporters

Our Funders, Donors and Supporters help by providing the funding needed to run various community projects. Our grant funders and donors primarily provide monetary help while our supporters are those individuals, charities, companies and other organisations that help by providing information, materials or just work with Mastroe as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Mastroe training programmes are usually delivered with a combination of grant funding, donations and internally generated income within the Mastroe social enterprise.

Mastroe is a relatively new charity and we are already making an impact within our community and plan to reach even more beneficiaries with our projects and programmes in the coming year.

We are reliant on the your continued generosity and would like to thank our funders, donors and supporters who enable us to directly help and impact many lives within our community. Without you none of this will have been possible

Each application is considered on its own merits as long as it conforms to specific criteria of the Charity.

Mastroe received a grant for training software from the Harpur Trust as a part of their 450th anniversary celebration.

European Union – European Social Fund

The European Social Fund (ESF) is the European Union’s main financial instrument for supporting employment in the member states of the European Union as well as promoting economic and social cohesion. ESF spending amounts to around 10% of the EU’s total budget.

Mastroe has been funded in the past by the ESF to provide training for 30 beneficiaries. The training was completed on time and to budget with just over 80% of the trainees moving into work, training or other opportunities.

We are happy to be funded again by the European union. The grant will be used to deliver the Mastroe Aspire programme to empower, develop, provide work experience  and help local people back into work.

Skills Funding Agency

The skills funding agency provide over £3.2 billion of funding per year to deliver skills training for further education (FE) in England. The SFA currently supports over 1,000 colleges that include private training organisations and employers.

Our Aspire programme mentioned above is co-funded by the skills funding agency and the European union Social Fund. We really appreciate the work that the skills funding agency does around the UK ensuring that the necessary funds are available to provide training, support and development opportunities to different groups in England – especially to those that are in need.

Futures is a not-for-profit provider of jobs and skills advice, training and apprenticeships. It also provides support to young people and adults who need help preparing for work or training. It operates the National Careers Service across the East Midlands and Central Eastern England, and is jointly owned by Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council.

Futures currently manage the Community Grants programme co-funded by the European Social Fund and the skills funding agency. They makes funds available in the form of small grants to third sector organisations, to reduce unemployment rates and inactivity among very disadvantaged populations.
